Established in the spring of 2000, Camp Ocean Adventures was founded with the idea of sharing the wonders of the ocean and its resources with local youngsters, and has now grown to include young people from all over the world.

Our program has become an annual event for many families. We offer a 5-day educational program, designed to provide kids between the ages of 8 and 15 with the opportunity to experience ocean life first-hand.

Each of the five day-long trips allows your son or daughter an active role, "hands-on", and a team experience as they learn about themselves, and gain confidence and independence.

During our 5-day program we will:

• watch whales and dolphins in their natural habitat;
• fish for cod, pollack and haddock as well as striped bass and bluefish;
• spend the week experiencing the lobster fishing industry;  
• visit the University of New Hampshire's Isles of Shoals Marine Laboratory and learn about our New England marine ecosystem; and
• visit the Portsmouth Coast Guard Station                                                                                                                                                                                                             The young ocean travelers will learn the value of conservation practices designed to protect our oceans and fisheries for future generations. They will also learn effective fishing techniques, the fundamentals of navigation, and basics of knot tying.
  
  With a maximum of fifteen campers per week, we are able to give a unique, educational and exciting experience to each individual.
